When becoming vegan, it’s okay to ask for help!
In fact, asking for help is a great idea for anyone becoming vegan.
Whether becoming vegan or taking on any other new experience, it can be hard to ask for help. It may be that we don’t want to inconvenience other people or we’re concerned that we’ll appear unintelligent if we have to ask someone for their help.
The truth is that often people really enjoy offering their help, and the smartest people are the ones who know when they need help and are willing to ask for it!
I found myself asking for a lot of help when writing my book on vegan cooking. While I’ve been cooking vegan my entire life, I wanted to write a book that would help people who were just becoming vegan.
But in order to do it right, I needed help…
The last thing I wanted was to create another one of those books that doesn’t actually address the needs and concerns of the people it is meant to help.
I didn’t just ask for a little help, though…I set out on a mission!
I searched EVERYWHERE for people becoming vegan and asked what would make a vegan cooking guide most helpful and convenient for them.
Not surprisingly, numerous new, experienced and aspiring vegans were more than willing to help. They offered their challenges, frustrations and aspirations openly and I found multiple common threads.
Thanks to their responses, I was able to share information that was tailored specifically to what people becoming vegan really want to know. Had I not asked for this help, I would have missed out on the valuable feedback that helped to make the book better.
If you’re in the process of becoming vegan, don’t be concerned about asking for help. It will make the process so much easier for you and most likely help you make faster progress toward becoming vegan.
Please don’t hesitate to let me know if I can be of any help to you in becoming vegan as well!Pin It
