What are your reasons for becoming vegan?
As you continue in your vegan lifestyle, some challenges and doubts may come up. During these times, it helps to stay focused on the reasons you decided to become vegan.
In my experience working with new vegans, I’ve heard many reasons why people decide to adopt the vegan lifestyle. I’m sure you have your reasons as well.
Maybe you’ve heard stories of people you know becoming vegan and loving the results. Or, you’ve seen a documentary on the horrors of factory farming and have vowed to yourself that you will not take part in this cruelty any longer.
Perhaps you’ve read in a magazine or seen on T.V. the ever-growing list of celebrities such as Alicia Silverstone and Brad Pitt who have gone vegan and you realize that they are regular people just like you and me…and if they can do it, you can do it too.
Your reason might be that you’ve considered the impact animal consumption has on the environment and you want to join others in making a positive difference. Or, you’ve made the decision to go vegan out of moral reasons and you absolutely refuse to let yourself give up no matter what challenges come your way.
Whatever your reasons, the important thing to keep in mind in your vegan journey is why YOU decided to embrace veganism. Your reasons are unique and personal to you, and they will help make your transition to becoming vegan that much more meaningful and fulfilling.
I’d love to hear your reasons for becoming vegan!
